Serbian Digital Week was held in Belgrade at the beginning of April, the culmination of which was the Western Balkans Digital Summit that was held 4. and April 5, 2019. in the Palace of Serbia in Belgrade. He started the summit with his dance to the world hit,,Gangnam Style” marked the Titan robot. The summit was held over two days, covering four topics on the main stage: digital literacy, networking, security, as well as the digital economy. This year’s summit attracted over three thousand participants, 200 speakers on three different stages and 80 digital companies, and among those present were representatives of governments, companies and regional organizations whose main goal is to establish a digital platform where ideas and plans for the improvement of the ICT sector in this part of Europe could be exchanged. Part of the program, like last year, was dedicated to the presentation of the best IT companies from the region to prominent figures from the world of politics and business, not only from the territory of the Western Balkans, but also from all over Europe, and even the world. One of the panels held during the Summit was on the topic of improving the school system:Education reinvented“. Key topics discussed include: what the school system will look like in 2030; year, which challenges will be presented by the introduction of new technologies and how to react to them, as well as how the gap between the current school system and the latest technologies can be reduced. It was concluded that education in 2030 will no longer be based on the mere transmission of knowledge, but that the emphasis will be on the development of practically applicable abilities and that it is very important that students are not passive, but active innovators.
